We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the Lord hath spoken good concerning Israel.
Welcome to the Jasper St Church of Christ in Decatur, IL where Saving Souls & Changing Lives is our mission. Our Congregation is a friendly community that focuses on walking in Christ’s commands. It is through love that God commanded his love toward us while we were sinners. (Romans 5:8) One must obey the Gospel of Christ to have salvation. We do this by teaching the Death, Burial & Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ had one purpose while here on earth and that was to provide salvation to all lost souls. Salvation is deliverance from sin and its consequences. The Church of Christ is the only place which salvation can exist. Why? Acts 4:12 Christ committed no sin 1Peter 2:22.
Therefore we should make sure we are in his place of salvation. The Church of Christ has been established by Christ himself. He died for mankind and has provided one place of salvation. We know this because the Bible says there is only one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
